Learn More About David

David Robins is an accomplished operations and construction leader with over three decades of experience managing complex projects across commercial, residential, hospitality, and historic restoration. Throughout his career, he has overseen over $325 million in active construction simultaneously, demonstrating a rare ability to lead large-scale developments while maintaining a sharp focus on detail, quality, and client alignment.

His background spans roles in company ownership, executive leadership, project management, and site supervision, giving him a comprehensive understanding of how strategy translates into execution on the ground. David has held leadership positions at respected firms including Daniels Schumaker & Associates, Daniels Real Estate, Venture General Contracting, and Deacon Corp., where he consistently delivered results through thoughtful planning, contract negotiation, and team coordination. His projects—such as Seattle’s award-winning 44-story F5 Tower, the award-winning restoration of The Lodge at St Edwards Park, the award-winning Sanctuary restoration, and the fast tracked 1101 Dexter Facebook Project—reflect his ability to manage complexity, timelines, and budgets with discipline and foresight.

Beyond the job site, David is known for his collaborative approach and ability to earn the trust of clients, contractors, international developers, and consultants alike. He brings structure to ambiguity, anticipates risks before they surface, and remains deeply engaged throughout the full lifecycle of a project. His work is driven by core values, a belief in long-term relationships and high standards.

With Robins Associates, David has created a firm that reflects both his technical expertise and his commitment to helping clients build with confidence, control, and purpose.

MEET THE WOMAN WHO HAS TO PUT UP WITH DAVID

Nicole Robins

Nicole Robins keeps the operation running smoothly behind the scenes as David’s trusted administrative assistant—and wife.

From coordinating schedules to making sure David doesn’t wear steel-toe boots to client meetings, she brings equal parts organization, patience, and good humor to the business.

Learn More About Nicole

Nicole Robins is the unsung hero of Robins Associates—the person who ensures emails are answered, schedules are followed, documents are signed, and that David doesn’t accidentally CC a subcontractor on a text about socks. As both his wife and administrative assistant, Nicole has mastered the delicate art of professionally rolling her eyes without making a sound, while still getting everything done on time and with terrifying efficiency.

Her actual job title is Administrative Assistant, but let’s be honest: she’s also the in-house crisis manager, coffee strategist, emotional support human, and official translator when David starts talking in acronyms. When she’s not keeping the office on track, she’s making subtle side comments during meetings that somehow solve the actual problem no one else could figure out.

It’s also widely accepted—by clients, vendors, and literally all of David’s friends—that Nicole is the better Robins. In fact, most social invites only include David as a courtesy. She’s charming, sharp, and manages to tolerate the daily chaos of construction consulting with a smile, a spreadsheet, and the quiet power of someone who definitely knows where all the real files are.

Nicole doesn’t just keep things running—she keeps David from becoming a full-time conspiracy theorist about permitting delays. And for that, the entire company (and probably the industry at large) owes her a deep and lasting debt of gratitude.

Accolades and Award

While David Robins has been at the helm of some of the Pacific Northwest’s most complex and high-profile construction projects, his most talked about achievement came in December 2024, when he took home the coveted title at Tim Collins' Annual Ugly Christmas Party. Wearing what can only be described as Christmas Pimp Chic, Dave stunned the room with crushed velvet, candy cane swagger, and platform shoes that screamed, “I may manage $325M in active projects, but I also frequent the Pimp Shop... regularly.” It was a hard-fought win, but as they say, excellence doesn’t sleep—and neither do sequins.

Other notable (if completely unofficial) recognitions include:

- The “No, That’s Not a Change Order, It’s Your Problem” Lifetime Achievement Award

- Most Likely to Find a Critical Scheduling Error While Holding a Breakfast Burrito

- And the elusive “Gold Medal in Mid-Meeting Eye Contact That Silently Says ‘You Know Better’”

Although these accolades aren’t framed on the wall, they live on in whispers across job sites and group texts. And while Dave’s professional resume speaks volumes, his Christmas outfit still gets mentioned in meetings more than the F5 Tower.
